vacation and moonlight
What up all...Time for a quick update! Tomorrow I'm spinnign at Aqua as posted earlier, and next weekend (June 30 to July 4) I'm going on vacation so i can get my mind right before we set things off this summer. When I get back, I start a new Friday residency at H2O called Moonlight. It is promoted by DCNites, dcNRG, and my peoples ClimaxDC...I've been wanting to see these promotion crews working together for a couple of years now, so this is very much like a dream come true to me. DCNites and dcNRG were responsible for Vida last year, and as most of you may remember it was quite successful. By throwing ClimaxDC (along with myself) in the mix, this event is sure to be fire. Imagine Tantra meets Vida, and you get the idea of what things are to come. I expect everyone to be there for the grand opening, which is July 7th.
Finally, here is the flyer for Aqua Lounge's event this Saturday, June 24. I also expect all of the regulars to attend this event, it should be good fun as always. Come buy me a drink!

Saturday June 24 - Aqua
Hey guys thanks for visiting again...As you can see I try to update and make the page look more appealing (or appalling? haha!), but I'm new to this Movable Type Blog thing so I'm learning HTML which I forgot ages ago, please bare with me. I have added a Links section, and on the left column you are now able to see the links to whatever events I am spinning that week. Anyway, keep checking because I will have a flyer and new information about the new Moonlight event.
Also, this Saturday I am spinning at Aqua Lounge. Most of you know what to expect when I spin there, but the management has requested for me to play some dance music too so I will be playing some EDM throughout the night. Playing Hip-Hop all the time gets old so I welcome the change, I just hope that the crowd is receptive. It should be pretty refreshing to hear something different from the usual, mixed cohesively. There is also a fashion show and other goodies so it's definitely worth checking out, Saturdays at Aqua are generally packed anyway.

Orgi at Love - June 17th, 2006
let me just say wow. mark and i played a set on the second floor at love this past saturday, and it was sick! the place was packed like always, but even more so since it was dcnites' monthly orgi event. we were originally supposed to play on the third floor like last month, but they already booked promoters there so they cancelled their 2nd floor DJ and set us up there instead. the booth setup on that floor is quite nice, its spacious with a lot of shelves for records but the mixer left much to be desired (it was an allen and heath Xone:62, an EDM mixer so it didn't have sharp fader curves and things like that). there was a VIP table rite next to the booth which was reserved by mark, so everyone was chiln there and the liquor was mos definitely flowing. other than that, everything went rather smoothly except for the resident DJ showin up on his day off just "to chill and hangout, and takeover if i'm ever tired." in my many years of DJing i've never been so tired that i had to give up a set, in fact i get more and more energized as i get into my set, and he should kno that of any dj so that was a lil annoying for him to make that assumption. in addition, he took the liberty to get wasted and hangout in the booth and yell massive shit over the mic, which is totally not my style...so therefore i apologize to anybody who was annoyed by the over-MCing that took place that nite, it was beyond my control. i guess that the DJ felt the need to claim his territory even though he was not working. even though all this was intrusive and distracting, i still managed to play a decent set but not the way i wanted to. oh well, its all good there will be plenty of other times. speaking of which...
starting friday july 7 is a new event dcnites has lined up - moonlight at H2O. moonlight took place at vida last year and it was packed for pretty much all of that duration, and this year it has been moved to H2O to accomodate more people. There are two rooms and a patio available to us, with separate entry for our clientelle. mark will be playing 80s, old school, classics, and dance in one room; and i will be playing hiphop, r&b, reggae and all that in another. music will be piped to the patio also. this should be a great event based on moonlight's success last year; and since my favorite climaxdc team will be working along with dcnites, the crowd should be amazing. admission will be $15, but there is a guestlist available for free entry until midnight. 21 and up, flyer will be posted momentarily under the upcoming performances section. see you guys there!

update about orgi at love this saturday june 17
hey all, i have an update concerning this saturday's party at love. dj twinspin and i will not be spinning on the 3rd floor like last month, in fact we will be spinning on the main floor, the 2nd so please plan accordingly. passes and vip cards are still available, as well as guestlist (however if you need guestlist i will need first name, last name, and pluses before 3pm on Saturday, thanks). its gonna be sick as always, so please come out!

this saturday, i'm throwin down at love in washington DC, on the 3rd floor/patio. i first DJed this party for DCnites and dcNRG, and let me tell you - they killed it. the place was full as hell and the crowd was amazing. you guys should definitely come and check it out, of course it shouldn't be too hard since most people hit up love on saturdays already anyway. im playin this event with dj twinspin, and while ill be playin hiphop/reggae and all that goodness, mark (twinspin) will get down with classics new wave and this 80s shit, its definitely a set you must hear. i have guestlist, and many many flyer passes, and i have a very few vip cards available as well. please get in touch with me before Saturday afternoon if you would like any of those, thanks.

welcome
wats up guys thanks for visiting my site/blog...ill be doin a lot of random things on here but mostly things to promote myself as a dj and the events i play at. i also intend to post mixes, talk about past and future gigs, review equipment that i oh so happily get my hands on, and of course have a chart and talk about random stuff naturally.
